Do you ever feel like you’re the one who has always made the effort in every type of relationship you’ve had.  Whether it’s family,  friends,  or coworkers,  you’re the one who steps out of their way to make it easier on the others.

The moment you step back,  push back,  or take a moment… the other party gets offended, upset, or immediately comes up with reasons you should hurry up and jump back in. 

If you’re the one making the effort,  they no longer have to.

If you’re the one making sacrifices,  they do not have to make any.

If you’re the one who steps off the path for the others to pass you by,  they’ll keep passing you by. 

Be the one that others go out of their way for.  Be the one that others are willing to sacrifice for.  Be the one that makes people change their path to walk beside you. 

They say to “Rise like a Phoenix”… surely they know that a Phoenix rises from the ashes. A Phoenix must first burn through the hottest fire to be reborn again.  A Phoenix will always come back for more.  As should you!  Get up,  take that first step towards being your own fire! Be a Phoenix,  let your fire shine!
